The following list are recommended software used with SAS.
This is recommended to InSite used in creating the initial
installation and configuration of SAS server. These are only
recommendations.
SAS Server Software
- Adobe
Acrobat Reader - This is the minimum required to view
PDF files.
- Adobe
Acrobat Professional - This includes the distiller
which is used in creating PDF files.
- Adobe
Page Maker - Graphics layout package used to create
case report form or annotations to case report forms.
Either this or FrameMaker can be used.
- Adobe
Frame Maker- Graphics layout package used to create
case report form or annotations to case report forms.
Either this or Page Maker can be used.
- Apache Web Server - In
publishing reports, if the output is placed on a web server,
it can be easily delivered to users via URL web link.
IIS can also be used.
- CDISC
Builder - Reporting tool for verify and create CDISC
special purpose domain data.
- Cisco
SSL VPN - Used for secured remote access.
- Definedoc
- Used to generate data definition domain
documentation DEFINE.XML for electronic submission.
- Microsoft
Office - Reports produced in RTF or as an CSV or Excel
type format would be useful to view using MS Word or MS
Excel. If data is received in MS Access, that may also
be useful.
- PKZIP - Used to
compress large SAS datasets. May be part of Windows
depending on version.
- PROC
PROC CDISC - View and verify CDISC data models.
- SAS
Hot Fix - Latest patches, service packs and hot fixes
for SAS 9.1.3.
- SAS
System Viewer - A data viewer to view SAS related
data.
- SyValidate
- Change control and validation software for managing SAS
programs.
- Syview - SAS
data viewer complementing SAS System viewer which prevents
data locking.
- ThesQA - MedDRA
and WHO Drug thesaurus dictionary verification and management
