What is Definedoc?
Definedoc is an easy-to-use Windows application that provides tools to automate the creation of data definition documentation such as DEFINE.PDF and DEFINE.XML. The data definition documentation documents the data that is included into an electronic submission. It can be used to be included as part of the eCTD Study Data Specifications for the eCTD for submissions using the SDTM data model from CDISC.
Definedoc provides a user friendly interface which allows you to capture all the metadata from your SAS datasets. It then gives you the capabilities to update the metadata as your data changes and edit additional information with a user friendly graphical user interface. Alternatively, you have the option to edit the information in Excel or MSWord. Definedoc will then generate the final data definition documentation in either PDF or XML formats.

Windows, it would be the user name captured when the user logs onto
the windows machine. |
Software Requirements
Definedoc is developed with SAS software. It therefore
requires the minimum of the following software.
- Microsoft Windows 2000
- Base SAS Software
- SAS Hotfix 82BB97

utilizes ODS and other features of SAS version 8.2. The software is
available for version 8.x and above.
