Overview
An electronic submission is submitted with SAS datasets in transport
format. Not only is submitting the dataset in transport format
useful but the accompanying SAS program used to convert the transport file
back to SAS datasets is also useful. SD2XPT is a tool which is used
to convert your SAS datasets into transport format and it also produces
SAS code for converting the data back.

Options
The SD2XPT screen allows you to select the source data and related
options which is used in creating the transport data. The data flow for this tool is shown here.

The options available for
selecting data and options for SD2XPT are:
- Source Data - This is the
location of the dataset that is going to be used to generating the
transport data.
- Datasets - Source datasets that
are used to for SD2XPT.
- Preview - A preview of the
first 100 observations of the data that is selected.
- CDISC - Selection of datasets
that fits the CDISC naming conventions.
- Output Path - Path location to
where the transport file will be created.
- Output File - The name of the
transport file being created. If a * is selected, a series of
transport files will be created, one for each selected source data.
The difference being that the file extension is different and it is in
transport format.
- Base Code - Path and file name
containing the SAS program used to generate the transport data.
- Save Code - The location of the
program that contains the macro call with all the selected parameters
used to create the transport data.
